Charity in the World: DCF Launches Random Acts of Charity

Various charities all over the world reach out to touch and improve people’s lives by helping to fight diseases, protect children, and give hope to thousands of people. To honour the important work that these charities do, in 2012 the United Nations declared every 5th of September as the international day of charity.

The date was chosen because it is the anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa of Calcutta and to commemorate the tireless work done by her and her life’s devotion to charitable causes. To celebrate this year’s world charity day, DCF launched a project tagged: Random Act of Charity, a platform that encourages people to reach out and show love to people around them through charitable works. DCF in her mission to impact lives and celebrate the world charity day, distributed needed items to both children and adult in one of her host communities, Itedo Community, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

DCF BRIGHTENS THE FUTURE OF UNDERGRADUATE ENGINEERS"

"23rd September, 2011. I received a congratulatory message from Mrs. Isioma Omojani. The DCF gave me the opportunity to actualize my dream. Getting an engineering degree was a major step towards that dream and the scholarship made it possible.

I’m glad to be a beneficiary of the scheme that has brought smile to bright engineering undergraduates.
